Education and Training

Learn More

At the core of the foundation’s activity is education and training.  The communities that are historically underrepresented and underserved when it comes to STEM education receive specialized opportunities for experiential learning at various levels.  Through the Morningbird Academy (www.morningbirdacademy.com) students at the K-12 level receive introductory training in areas such as additive manufacturing, robotics, coding, computer aided design/modeling, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and other key STEM subjects.  Workforce development training is provided through the academy in the form of specialized certificates.  These certificates prepare the students to be active learners and ready to contribute to the workforce upon completion of the certified training modules.

Innovation Communities

Learn More

The Morningbird Innovation Community is established within the Morningbird Academy.  It is a place where members can interact, share ideas, and exchange projects such as 3D printed parts, computer code, and other STEM based items.  Multi-member projects are carried out virtually under the guidance of the corps of scholars. The key purpose for the Morningbird Innovation Community is to tangibly demonstrate the interesting aspects of STEM and to get people working together to achieve things by using it.  Success will be measured by the number of its members, the amount of activities carried out within it, and some innovative projects that result from it.
